Best Meme

It's been a while since my last blog post, but hopefully that will be changing soon. I had inspiration for a video, and that inspiration turned to two, and then three. My problem was that these three videos were very similar- they would have been short spoofs of three prominent and similar internet memes. Ultimately, I decided to put all three together in a single video and let people vote on which one is the best.

The first is the Falcon Punch, also known as the Falcon PAWNCH. It is originally from F Zero, the signature attack of the character Captain Falcon, whom many of you might recognize from the game series Super Smash Brothers if you aren't native to the F Zero series like myself.

Up second, we have the Shoryuken, a spiral uppercut from the Street Fighter Series, made particularly famous by Street Fighter II.

Finally, the third is from Atop the Fourth Wall (AT4W), a joke made by Linkara initially in his review of "Superman at Earth's End". In the comic, Superman is having an argument with an Android, Ben Boxer, and says, "You are an Android. I am a MAN!" before punching Ben Boxer in the guts. Linkara has made this a regular joke on his show, and it has become a meme in its own right.

But which of these is the superior punching themed meme? That's for you to decide. Post your vote here on the video or here on my blog. I used clips from the recent Green Lantern movie, mostly because i couldn't find any videos that had spoofed the green boxing glove scenes yet and I thought it needed to be done.

Captain Falcon and F Zero GX are the properties of Nintendo. Street Fighter II is the property of Capcom. Linkara is the original character of Lewis Lovhaug, whose show is a part of Channel Awesome's flagship Network, That Guy with the glasses. Green Lantern is the property of DC comics.


I am going to see about putting a poll up on the blog so people can cast their votes. Nonetheless, I encourage everyone to post their votes in the comments anyway. As to my return to blogging, I am hoping to make this a weekly thing again, but maybe Wednesday would be better than Fridays.
